Opis
Aloha From Hawaii [Double CD]Opis:Original Hawaiian folk music was broadly based on chants and dances. This attractive Hawaiian music began to become popular around the United States during the first half of the twentieth century. You can hear musical cross-currents that take in jazz, hillbilly, blues, and western swing, with vocals that draw from country style yodels, slow pop ballads and even vaudevillian delivery. Our wide selection is some way away from the clichéd and watered-down popular image of Hawaiian guitars that became so prevalent in the forties and fifties US music scene. So sit back, shut your eyes, dream of the islands, and just let the wealth and variety of this music wash over you.
